It’s time to party like it’s your birthday at Charleston Zipline Adventures! We love hosting birthdays for all ages out on our zipline courses, but we’ve noticed that our Koala Kid Zip is definitely our most popular attraction for birthday parties. Planning and organizing a party can be a lot, especially if it’s going to be your first time visiting us. That’s exactly why we’ve compiled this list for YOU. We want to take all of the stress out of planning so you can focus on enjoying the day with your child!

BOOKING YOUR PARTY

Alright so first things first…make sure you book ahead of time. We can’t stress how important it is to book at least two weeks in advance to guarantee available spots for your desired day and time slot. We frequently run kid zips at the same time as birthday parties, so reserving spots for all of your guests is very important. Plus, we only have the resources to allow 20 kids total out on the kid zip at one time, so we can’t expand the number of available spots if a time slot is completely booked. When creating your guest list, though, please consider the age and weight requirements. All participants must be at least 5 years old and between 40 and 150 pounds. This is important to check before the check-in process. Also, remind the other parents that they must fill out a waiver for their own child before their young adventurer will be allowed on the course.

CHECK-IN

Once your entire party arrives at Charleston Zipline Adventures, the birthday boy/girl plus all guests will be able to check-in inside of our Adventure Center. One at a time we will not only check off each child’s waiver but also weigh them in. Once this process is complete, everyone can hit the restrooms before getting all harnessed up. After that the fun really gets started!!

KNOWING THE AREA

Charleston Zipline Adventures is located in Awendaw, South Carolina, which is only 15 miles from Downtown Charleston. Apart from our ziplining courses, we have many facilities that are available for you. Our main Adventure Center is the perfect escape from the heat with air conditioning, bathrooms, couches, chairs, and not to mention a gelato stand. It also features a full kitchen with a refrigerator and plenty of counter space which you are welcome to use for storing the cake, birthday presents, snacks, etc. Outside you’ll find two picnic tables, several chairs, and wrap around porches with seating located right next to the Koala Kid Zip. It’s the perfect area to relax while your little ones zip!

PARTY TIME PROCEDURE

Now that your party is all checked in the next hour and a half are going to be dedicated to zipping and having fun! We will get every child harnessed and fitted with a helmet. Afterwards they’ll be off to ground school. This is where our staff will explain the course and all safety procedures while also taking any questions from our zippers. Then, it’s go time!! Your young ones will be able to zip for the rest of the time slot, but of course they’re welcome to take breaks whenever they want to.

WHAT WE PROVIDE

We want to make this experience as safe and as enjoyable as possible for you and your guests. That’s why we have two to three of our guides monitoring your children at all times. Being outside and zipping consistently for an hour and a half can be exhausting, especially for those with summer birthdays. That’s why we will provide you with a small gatorade for every adventurer free of charge. It’s just our way of keeping everyone hydrated and excited about being outside. But that’s not all! The birthday boy/girl will receive a free Charleston Zipline Adventures t-shirt at the end of the party. It’s our birthday present to you!!

AVAILABLE ADD-ONS

We do have a few available options to make your experience at Charleston Zipline Adventures extra special. Our most popular add on is our 60 foot climbing wall. For only a small additional charge, everyone in your party can climb once they’re down ziplining. It’s a great way to keep everyone engaged and excited! We also have merchandise items available for purchase in our adventure center. Since they’ll be on the Koala Kid Zip, our small koala stuffed animals dressed in CZLA t-shirts make for the perfect party favor. Or if you want to go the sweeter route, you can add on a gelato for every guest as a sweet treat for the end. Either way, these are all great ways to add a fun touch to your party.

FUN LITTLE TOUCHES

We may offer a standard party package, but these parties are anything but ordinary. Each time you zipline it will be a completely different experience from any other. Decorations, activities, and food can be the perfect touches to personalize your party even further. Our recommendation is to create a theme for your party. We’ve seen it all from a princess pink party to a carnival themed party to an outdoor adventure party; the possibilities for themes are truly endless. Since you’ll have access to at least one of the outdoor picnic tables, tablecloths, table runners, decorations, crafts, pinatas, and balloons are a fun way to convey the theme and decorate the area. You’re also more than welcome to bring snacks, cake, and drinks along. You’ll have access to our refrigerator along with our counter storage.
